Summer R. has extensive experience in financial leadership and management, currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Ascend Healthcare Inc. since May 2023. Alongside this role, Summer holds multiple positions within Financial Executives International, including President of the FEI Seattle Chapter, and previously served in various leadership roles within the FEI Washington Chapter. With a background in finance, Summer has significantly contributed to the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants as Co-Chair of the CFO Conference Steering Committee. As the Founding Member of The F Suite and a member of CHIEF, Summer engages with networks aimed at supporting executive women and fostering diversity. Prior experience includes a range of finance-related roles at Vera Whole Health and ownership of a bookkeeping business, alongside positions at Story Worldwide, blueseventy, and Systima Technologies. Summer's educational credentials include certificates in Accounting and Sustainable Business Leadership from the University of Washington and Shoreline Community College, respectively, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.
