Shameka Collins, LMSW has a diverse range of work experience in the field of mental health. Shameka started their career as a Mental Health Therapist at Collins & Collins Clinical Services in December 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Mental Health Independent Contractor at Ascend, a MAXIMUS Company, starting in December 2017. Shameka also worked as an Independent Contractor at the City of Rochester, where their role involved facilitating restorative circles with youth participants in order to build their skills and relationships. In September 2017, they joined Huther Doyle as a Mental Health Therapist (HCBS), providing person-centered, recovery-oriented services to individuals with mental illness and/or substance use disorders. Their work at Huther Doyle included helping individuals gain the motivation, functional skills, and personal improvement needed to integrate into their community. This role lasted until August 2019.
