Head Of Training Design at Ascent Flight Training

Philip Young has over 20 years of work experience, primarily in the aviation industry. Philip started their career as an RAF Pilot in 1997 and served in various roles within the Royal Air Force, including Flight Commander Training and Second in Command of 47 Sqn. Philip also has experience in training management and delivery for heavy turbo-prop crews and deployed command in the Middle East.

In 2014, Philip joined Supacat as a Project Manager and later became the Deputy Head of Programmes. Philip then moved on to Ascent Flight Training in 2016, where they initially worked as a Senior Aircrew Training Specialist. Philip later took on the role of Fixed Wing Training System Manager and is currently serving as the Head of Training Design.

Philip's expertise lies in training design, program management, and aviation operations.

Philip Young attended the Duke of Yorks Royal Military School from 1985 to 1992, where they obtained 10 GCSE's and 4 A-Levels. Philip then enrolled at The University of Manchester from 1993 to 1996, where they pursued a degree in Pure and Applied Physics with a field of study in Environmental Science.
