Steven Barnsley McGi

Steven Barnsley MCGI is an experienced aviation instructor with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving at Ascent Flight Training since June 2012, Steven specializes in ground instruction for Royal Navy observer students, covering avionics, navigation theory, and aviation regulations. Prior military experience includes roles as a Qualified Weapons Instructor for the Royal Air Force from November 1992 to February 2012, where Steven produced and delivered a comprehensive ISR course, developed air navigation instruction, and served as a Navigator and Crew Captain on CXX Squadron, earning the NATO Former Republic of Yugoslavia medal. Earlier experience also includes serving as a Simulator Technician from 1988 to 1991. Steven is a member of the City & Guilds Institute since 2011.
