David Bocanegra

David Bocanegra is an experienced geoscientist with a career spanning several decades in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as the Director of Geoscience at Ascent Resources since July 2015 and holding roles at American Energy Partners, LP as both Geoscience Manager and Senior Geophysicist since June 2014, David has a strong background in geological analysis and geophysical prospecting. Previous positions include Manager of Geology and Geophysics at QEP Resources, Inc., Chief Geophysicist at Questar, and Exploration Advisor at Vintage Petroleum. David earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology/Earth Science from The University of Texas at Austin in 1979.
