Philip Hoad

Philip Hoad is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Senior Finance Director for Food Trading at Asda since January 2023. Previously, Philip held various leadership roles at Coles from January 2014 to December 2022, including Head of Finance for both Commercial & Express and Coles Express, as well as Senior Finance Manager for Group Planning and Merch FP&A. Prior to this, Philip was the Financial Controller at Selfridges from November 2009 to January 2014, overseeing financial operations for Selfridges in the UK and its sister company, Brown Thomas, in Ireland. Early in the career, Philip worked at Carphone Warehouse from February 2006 to October 2009, contributing as Finance Transformation Analyst, focusing on a Europe-wide transformation project. Philip holds fellow and member qualifications from ACCA and earned a BSc in Economics and Politics from the University of Bristol in 2004.
