Fatih Semiz

Fatih Semiz has extensive work experience in software engineering and research. Fatih began their career as a part-time researcher and intern at ODTU TSK Modsimmer, where they worked on projects related to routing of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and Genetic Algorithms. Fatih then worked as a part-time researcher and intern at Kovan Research Laboratory, focusing on swarm intelligence and localization techniques for quadcopters. Following this, Fatih joined METU as a Research Assistant, conducting their master's and doctorate studies. In 2021, they joined Aselsan as a Senior Expert Software Engineer, and later became a Senior Lead Software Engineer. In this role, they developed a command and control application, coordinated a software team, and integrated NATO anti-drone messaging standards into a desktop command and control application.

Fatih Semiz completed their education as follows:

- From 2015 to 2022, Fatih Semiz pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Engineering with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University.

- From 2012 to 2015, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Engineering with a focus on Artificial Intelligence from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University.

- From 2007 to 2012, Fatih Semiz completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Engineering at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University.

- In the first year of their undergraduate studies, from 2007 to 2009, they began their education at Ankara University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Engineering before transferring to Middle East Technical University.

- Fatih Semiz graduated from Konya Karatay Süleyman Demirel Milli Piyango Anadolu Lisesi in 2007, earning their High School Diploma, with a focus on Fen Bilimleri (Science).

Furthermore, Fatih Semiz has obtained additional certifications, including Design Patterns and Object-Oriented Design from the University of Alberta, and the Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) and Professional Scrum Product Owner™ I (PSPO I) certifications from Scrum.org.
