Nihal Patel

Nihal Patel is the Founder and CEO of Collegiate Companions, a federally recognized 501(c) nonprofit established in October 2022. Serving on the Executive Board of the W&M Undergraduate Honor Council since August 2022, Nihal oversees investigations into academic integrity violations among the 24-member council. As a volunteer medical assistant at Lackey Clinic since May 2022, responsibilities include providing basic patient care. Nihal has also contributed to chemistry research at William & Mary under Dr. Poutsma and has gained emergency medical experience as an Emergency Medical Technician with the Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department since December 2018. Recently, a research position at VCU Health involved developing cardiac risk models for cancer patients. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biology at William & Mary, Nihal is expected to graduate in May 2024.
