Robert Pool serves as the Vice President for Student Affairs, Auxiliary Services, and Title IX Coordinator at Ashland University since July 2018, overseeing a combined $20M in operational revenue and managing 130 employees across various departments. Previously, Robert was the Vice President for Student Life at Houghton College, providing strategic leadership to a team of 60 across 13 departments. Earlier roles include Director of Student Activities at Hobart and William Smith Colleges and Assistant Dean of Students at the University of Evansville, where Robert established the Center for Student Engagement. Robert’s career began as a Graduate Assistant at Southeast Missouri State University. Robert holds a PhD in Higher Education Leadership from Indiana State University and a Master’s in Counseling with an emphasis in Student Affairs from Southeast Missouri State University, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Speech Communication from the same institution.
