Dr. Li Zhang is an experienced scientist with a career spanning over two decades in research and development within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Currently serving as the Group Leader for Zeta Fraction™ Technology at Ashland since September 2015, Dr. Zhang leads R&D efforts and contributes to the commercialization of sustainable natural ingredients, including several notable products. Previously, at AkzoNobel from 2012 to August 2015, Dr. Zhang advanced biological testing capabilities and played a critical role in developing Zeta Fractions for sustainable applications. Earlier experience at Johnson & Johnson (1999-2012) involved leading drug and consumer product development initiatives through various stages of discovery and managing preclinical research for medical devices. Dr. Zhang holds a PhD in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Tennessee-Health Science Center College of Medicine and an MD from Peking University, School of Medicine.
