Venkatesh Natarajan

Venkatesh Natarajan is a Mechanical Engineer and a Post Graduate in Maintenance Engineering. He also holds a Masters degree in Engineering Management and a PG in Computer applications.

Venkatesh Natarajan or ‘VN’ as he is popularly called within Ashok Leyland and in the Industry, has 33 years of multifaceted experience in the Manufacturing industry and 25 years in the field of Information Technology. He has worked in various capacities in the areas of Plant Maintenance, Production, Sales & Marketing before pursuing a career in Information technology.

VN has been with Ashok Leyland for 18 years and in his capacity as the Chief Digital Officer has been responsible for driving major business transformation in Ashok Leyland leveraging Digital and spearheading the organization’s thrust towards deploying Digital for new business models and new revenue streams apart from Digital for Business Optimization. He also heads the Connected Vehicles Program in Ashok Leyland.

He serves on the Board of Companies that includes MNCs both in the capacity of a Director and as Advisor. He is passionate about teaching /sharing his knowledge with the student community and is a visiting faculty in premier business schools.
