Papri Banerjee

Papri Banerjee, Ph.D., currently serves as the Deputy Director of Research Administration and Chief of Academic Administration & Technical Support at Ashoka University since December 2021. Previous experience includes roles as Assistant Director at the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell, managing significant initiatives like the Smart India Hackathon and Drug Discovery Hackathon. At the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP), Banerjee served as Program Manager for Bio-Innovation & Entrepreneurship and earlier as Project & Business Development Manager for the Genomics Facility, focusing on startup support and facility management. Additionally, a postdoctoral research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute (NIH) involved studying bacterial genetics, combined with teaching experience in chemistry at Wake Forest University. Papri Banerjee holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Wake Forest University, alongside a Master’s degree from the University of Calcutta and a Bachelor’s degree from Scottish Church College.
