Christian Potencia

Christian Potencia is a seasoned cybersecurity professional currently serving as a Senior Audit Officer at the Asian Development Bank since May 2024. Previous experience includes roles such as SOC Manager at Officeworks and SOC Lead Consultant at ConnectOS, both held from October 2022 to May 2024. As Head of Cybersecurity Operations at MERALCO from December 2019 to May 2022, Christian successfully built a Cyber Ops team from the ground up. Earlier, Christian served as Sr. Manager of Cybersecurity Operations at GCash, where improvements to the internal SOC team were made, and the Cyber Threat Intelligence function was established. Other significant positions held include Information Security Manager at Atos and IT Security Lead at Accenture, where foundational operations in managed security services were developed. Christian began a career in cybersecurity as a Security Testing Lead at Trend Micro, contributing to various technical and operational advancements. Christian holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Technological University of the Philippines.
