Timo Teinila

Timo Teinila is the current Advisor & Head of Risk Analytics at the Asian Development Bank. Timo has over three decades of experience in the financial sector, including positions as Director and Managing Director at Merrill Lynch and Vice President at JP Morgan. In 2009 they joined the African Development Bank as Lead Investment Analyst. In this role they were responsible for new deal analysis, structuring, negotiation, and leading technical assistance and advisory teams. Timo left the African Development Bank in 2015 to join the East African Development Bank as a Non Executive Director. Timo held this position until December 2014 when they took on their current role at the Asian Development Bank.

After completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Financial Services Marketing from the Turku School of Economics in Finland, Timo Teinila pursued a career in business administration. Timo earned an MSc from the Turku School of Economics and now works in the financial services industry.
