Douglas Densmore

Douglas Densmore has a diverse work experience starting from 2002 to the present. Douglas began as an Intern at Cypress Semiconductor in 2002 and later worked as a Research Intern at Xilinx Research Labs in 2004. In 2007, they joined the University of California, Berkeley as a UC Chancellor's Postdoctoral Fellow in the Bioengineering Department. Douglas continued their research career at Berkeley as a Postdoctoral Researcher until 2009. Densmore then joined the Synberc - Synthetic Biology Engineering Research Center in 2010 as a Postdoctoral Fellow. Douglas further advanced their academic career and worked as an Assistant Professor at Boston University from 2010 to 2015. Afterwards, they served as an Associate Professor until 2022, and is currently a Professor at Boston University. Additionally, Densmore has also been involved in various entrepreneurial ventures. Douglas co-founded Lattice Automation, Inc. in 2013, Asimov, Inc. in 2017, and BioSens8 in 2020.

Douglas Densmore began their education in 1996 at the University of Michigan, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E) in Computer Engineering. Douglas completed their undergraduate studies in 2001. Immediately after, Douglas went on to pursue higher education at the University of California, Berkeley. From 2001 to 2004, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering. Following this, Douglas continued their studies at UC Berkeley and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical Engineering in 2007.
