Kathy Hitchens has been working in the content marketing and writing field since 2016. Kathy started out as a Freelance Writer and Content Marketing for Columbus, Ohio, specializing in renewable energy, electric vehicles, recreational vehicles, and travel. In 2021, they became the Special Projects Editor and Freelance Writer for Microgrid Knowledge, where they wrote a variety of articles and promotional materials for the publication's website and its industry conferences. Kathy also handled speaker management for Microgrid Knowledge industry events and maintained the publication's extensive video library. Additionally, they are a Freelance Writer for Power Costs, Inc. (PCI), Velo Solar, Questline Inc., Think Microgrid, Data Center Frontier, and Arctura, Inc. In 2016, they were a Freelance Research Manager, Analyst, and Chat Team Lead for Wonder (AskWonder.com), where they assisted clients by creating research plans for their projects, writing clear and concise research instructions for Wonder Analysts, formulating and managing large research projects, and reviewing completed research for quality purposes. Kathy also researched and wrote reports on a variety of business intelligence topics. Finally, they were a Media Production Manager for 21 Productions/TMR Group, where they wrote weekly blogs for multiple websites, wrote and produced website copy, web videos, and radio commercials.
Kathy Hitchens obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Media Arts with an emphasis in Film and Video Production from the University of Arizona. Kathy then went on to earn their Master of Business Administration - MBA in International Business from the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business. In March 2016, they obtained a Premiere Pro CC Essential Training (2015) certification from Lynda.com.
