Research & Policy Advisor at Polonium Foundation

Agata Nyga is a prominent researcher and entrepreneur in the fields of cell therapy, regenerative medicine, and cancer biomechanics. Currently, Agata serves as the Founder of SynLaia Innovations and is involved as an EnterpriseTECH student at the Cambridge Judge Entrepreneurship Centre. As a mentor for Women in Advanced Therapies and a board member of CONNECTS-UK, Agata champions collaboration within scientific communities. Agata also holds a significant advisory role at the Polonium Foundation, focusing on the Polish Diaspora's impact on scientific migration. Previous positions include Head of Research and Development at StemBond Technologies and Investigator Scientist at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology. Agata’s educational background includes a Ph.D. in Clinical Medicine Research from Imperial College London and a Master's in Nanotechnology and Regenerative Medicine from UCL.
