Jim Fisher has a wide range of experience in data engineering and management. Jim started their career as a Staff Consultant at David Mitchell and Associates in 1991. Jim then joined Fingerhut Companies as a Lead Development DBA and later as a Manager of Distributed Database Administration. In these roles, they were responsible for the development and support of Oracle databases, including mission-critical systems and data warehouses.

After Fingerhut Companies, Jim joined Target as a Manager of Database Administration, where they managed a team of DBAs supporting Oracle and Informix databases for data warehousing, decision support, and OLTP applications.

In 1998, Jim joined Barr Engineering Co. as a Senior Project Manager, where they managed client relationships and projects, including an internal financial system upgrade.

Jim then transitioned to Digital River, Inc as a Director of Information Technology Development, where they managed a large team to build and maintain a large-scale e-commerce system. Jim improved customer satisfaction through workflow management processes and initiated cross-organization product communications.

From there, Jim joined United Health Group as a Director, and later as a Senior Director, of Database Administration, where they managed a team of database services professionals and designed and supported enterprise data warehouses and analytics assets. Jim consolidated DBA teams into a Center of Excellence and implemented a stronger customer service focus.

Jim also worked at Ingenix (an United Health Group Company) as a Senior Director of Database Administration, and at Minnesota Vikings as a Purple Person, Guest Experience Representative, and Tour Guide.

Most recently, Jim has been working at Wells Fargo as the Vice President of Database Engineering.

Throughout their career, Jim has consistently demonstrated their leadership abilities, technical expertise, and commitment to customer service and satisfaction.

Jim Fisher, Vice-President Data Engineering, holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Quantitative Methods and Information Systems from St. Cloud State University. Prior to their university education, they attended Anoka Senior High School. The specific start and end years for these educational experiences are not provided.
