Kasim Williams has extensive work experience in the field of software configuration management and release engineering. Kasim started their career in 2007 at Cubic Advanced Learning Solutions, Inc., where they served as a Senior Software Configuration Management Analyst. In this role, they were responsible for managing the software configuration of Naval military data for the development of the Littoral Combat Ship virtual training simulation environment. Kasim also played a key role in weekly software build increments and enhancing build pipelines for continuous integration in an Agile software development environment.
In 2014, Kasim joined Leidos, Inc. as a Senior Software Configuration Management Analyst. Here, they were responsible for software configuration management of the US Army's AVCATT simulation software development environment. Kasim performed weekly software builds, integrated parallel development branches into the subversion baseline trunk, and ensured reconciliation of software code differences for baseline code merges and software releases.
Kasim then moved on to Aspect Software in 2015, where they worked as a Release Engineer. In this role, they demonstrated proficiency in administering source control and defect tracking applications, such as ClearCase, SVN, GIT, TFS, CVS, and ClearQuest. Kasim also handled SQL database administration tasks, including archiving, backup, and cleanup.
Currently, Kasim is working at Alvaria, Inc. as a Principal Release Engineer. Kasim started in April 2020 and has since been leading systems administration and providing architectural direction for their cloud-based continuous deployment systems. Additionally, they design and codes infrastructure automation scripts for provisioning, scaling, building, testing, and delivering software in a continuous delivery environment. Kasim also handles SQL database maintenance tasks, documentation, and periodic updates of version control and application build systems.
