Vanessa Santiago-Freytes is an accomplished educator and leader with extensive experience in program management and development. Currently serving as Managing Director of Leadership and College Access Programs at ASPIRA of New York since September 2018, Vanessa oversees numerous programs that support nearly 6000 predominantly low-to-moderate income students in NYC public schools. As the Chief Executive Officer of VSL Education Consulting since 2010, Vanessa promotes leadership development and college readiness through innovative programs. Additionally, Vanessa has contributed as an Adjunct Professor at the City University of New York-Brooklyn College since 2016, teaching courses focused on Puerto Rican and Latino studies. Previous roles include Director of Programs at Girls Inc. Westchester and leadership positions within Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., showcasing a commitment to women's advancement and community service. Vanessa holds a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from The New School and a Bachelor’s degree in Puerto Rican & Latino Studies from Brooklyn College.
