Maria Shamota

Maria Shamota has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Maria is currently working as an Engineering Manager at Aspire, starting in September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at New Relic, Inc. as an Engineering Manager from December 2019 to June 2021.

Before their role at New Relic, Inc., Maria worked at Typeform.com. Maria was the Development Team Lead (Manager) from February 2019 to December 2019, and before that, they were a Software Engineer from May 2018 to February 2019.

Maria also has experience at Luxoft, where they held various roles. Maria was a Senior Developer/Consultant from September 2017 to January 2018, and a Team Lead and Full-Stack Developer for Hotwire.com from December 2013 to January 2018.

Furthermore, Maria worked as an AngularJS Developer at Luxoft, Hotwire.com from September 2015 to June 2016.

Prior to their roles at Luxoft, Maria was a Team Lead and PHP Developer at Cupid plc from November 2012 to November 2013. Here, they took on responsibilities such as website development, task and time management, and communication with product managers.

Before their work at Cupid plc, Maria worked as a Web-developer at QArea, The Huffington Post Team from January 2012 to September 2012, and as a Web Developer at JustCoded from May 2010 to December 2011.

Maria's early experience includes being a Postgraduate Student and Junior Research Fellow at Kharkov National University from September 2008 to October 2011. Here, they conducted empirical research on physical processes in near-earth space.

Maria Shamota has a strong educational background in the fields of geophysics and space radiophysics. Maria earned a Master's degree in Space Radiophysics from Kharkiv V. N. Karazin National University, which they attended from 2003 to 2011. Following their Master's degree, Maria went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geophysics from the same university, and they successfully completed the program from 2008 to 2014. Additionally, in May 2014, they obtained a certification in M101P: MongoDB for Developers.
