Dave Zeevalk

Dave Zeevalk has extensive work experience in the visual effects industry. Dave is currently the Senior Vice President and Co-Founder at Assembly, having joined in March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the VFX Creative Director at Nice Shoes from June 2020 to March 2022. Before that, they held multiple roles at Alkemy X, including Head of VFX/VFX Creative Director from January 2020 to May 2020, Creative Director - VFX from July 2018 to December 2019, and CG/VFX Supervisor from August 2014 to July 2018. Dave also worked as a 3D Supervisor at Look Effects from September 2011 to August 2014, a 3D Generalist & 3D Tracking TD at Giant Steps from December 2008 to December 2011, and a 3D Supervisor/Visual Effects Director at BigSmack from March 2010 to September 2011. Additionally, they have experience as a Lead 3D Generalist at Look Effects, a 3D Generalist & 3D Tracking TD at Lion VFX, and a 3D Instructor at Gnomon School of Visual Effects. Dave began their career as a 3D Generalist, Compositor, and Motion Graphics artist at Superfad in July 2009.

Dave Zeevalk attended The Art Institute of California-San Diego from 2004 to 2006. Dave obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Media Arts & Animation during their time at the institute.
