Markus Ashley has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Markus began their career in the US Navy as an Operations Specialist, where they were responsible for maintaining Combat Information Center displays and operating radar equipment. After their military service, Markus worked as a Quality Control Analyst at Union Bank, where they reviewed the bank's loan portfolio and monitored credit quality. Markus then transitioned to CIT as a Mortgage Loan Officer.
In 2007, Markus joined Keystone Pacific Property Management as a Senior Manager, focusing on providing exceptional community management for high-end residential developments in Southern California. Markus then moved to RTI/Community Management Associates, Inc. "CMA" as a Sr. Portfolio Manager, overseeing multiple housing subdivisions and managing various tasks such as compliance evaluations, budget management, and client relations.
Markus's role evolved at RTI/CMA when they became a Regional Trainer, responsible for training and developing portfolio managers, onboarding new hires, and administering continuing education programs. After their time at RTI/CMA, Markus joined FirstService Residential Texas as a Regional Director, where they oversaw portfolio management operations in the Fort Worth sector of the DFW market.
Currently, Markus holds the position of Vice President of Community Management at Associa. In this role, they are responsible for developing strategic and operational plans, executing initiatives, measuring performance results, and increasing profitability. Markus provides executive leadership support to Regional Directors in the Greater LA, Orange County, San Diego, and Inland Empire markets.
Throughout their career, Markus has achieved certifications such as CAMEx®, CCAM®, and CMCA®, highlighting their expertise and dedication to the field of community management.
Markus Ashley completed an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree from Dallas College between 2014 and 2016. Markus has obtained several additional certifications, including CAMEx® from CACM in September 2023, Certified Community Association Manager from CACM in August 2023, and Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA®) from CAMICB in April 2023.
