Myra Howay

Myra Howay has a diverse and extensive work experience in the sales and hospitality industry. Myra started their career as a Catering Sales Manager at Pan Pacific Hotel in 1998 and then worked as a Sales Manager at InterContinental Hotels Group from 2003 to 2006. From 2004 to 2007, they were a Sales Manager at InterContinental Mark Hopkins. Myra then served as a Senior Sales Manager at Claremont Hotel Club & Spa from 2006 to 2011.

In 2011, Myra joined the Oakland Convention & Visitors Bureau as the Director of Business Development until 2013. During the same period, they also served as a Treasurer on the Board of Directors of SGMP SF, managing and reporting on the organization's finances.

In 2013, Myra took up the role of a Senior Sales Manager at The Vintage Estate. The following year, they transitioned to Silverado Resort and Spa, where they initially served as a Senior Sales Manager before moving up to become the Director of Sales Technology. Myra was responsible for driving sales and achieving significant revenue growth in the Hi Tech Market and East Coast corporate territory.

The most recent entry in Myra's work experience is with Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) where they worked as the Director of Sales and later Director of Global Sales. At ALHI, they represented over 250 global hotels and resorts, cruise lines, and destination management companies, effectively matching planners' needs with the organization's offerings.

Throughout their career, Myra has consistently demonstrated their expertise in sales and client management, achieving impressive results and exceeding goals.

Myra Howay completed their Associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities at Contra Costa College from 1992 to 1994. Following that, they pursued Business Management at Cal State East Bay's College of Business & Economics from 1994 to 1999, although they did not obtain a specific degree in this field. In August 2020, they also earned the CVent Supplier Network Certificate from Cvent.
