Alicia Castillo S. currently serves as the Associate Director for Conference & Events at the Association for the Study of Higher Education, where responsibilities include managing logistical aspects of the annual conference and professional development events. Prior experience includes five years at Miami University as the Global Initiatives Program Coordinator, where Alicia launched the Global Readiness Certificate Program and facilitated workshops for scholars. Further experience includes participation in the NAFSA Academy for International Education and various roles at the University of Virginia, including Associate and Assistant Director of Career Development. Earlier roles at Washington State University involved directing the First Scholars Program and coordinating leadership programs. Alicia began their career at Pacific University in financial aid counseling and administration. Educational qualifications include a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design & Educational Technology from Miami University, a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Washington State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies from the University of Oregon.
