Douglas Olson, MD, serves as the Medical Director at HAVEN Connecticut since 2021, focusing on the healthcare workforce for licensed providers. In addition, Douglas holds the position of Primary Care Physician and Clinical Director for the Ryan White and Special Populations Program at Optimus Health Care. As the President and Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved, Douglas is actively involved in leadership within the healthcare community. Previously, Douglas was the Chief Medical Officer for Medicaid and CHIP at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, where efforts were made to enhance coverage and quality for over 80 million beneficiaries. Other roles include serving as Vice President of Clinical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Fair Haven Community Health Care and as a member of the Practice Transformation Task Force for the State of Connecticut. Educationally, Douglas obtained an MD from The George Washington University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science from The George Washington University.
