Patricia Kunkle has a diverse work experience ranging from administrative roles to senior leadership positions. Patricia began their career at Gallaudet University, where they served as an Administrative Assistant to the Special Assistant for Institutional Affairs. Patricia then progressed to roles such as Director of Student Affairs and Executive Assistant/Interpreter to the President, where they played a key role in facilitating campus climate processes and developing strategic goals.

After their time at Gallaudet University, Kunkle joined the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB), where they held various positions, including Director of Board Education & Consulting Services and Vice President for Membership Experience. In these roles, they developed and implemented business plans, oversaw membership marketing and retention activities, and collaborated with external partners to enhance membership engagement.

Before joining AGB, Kunkle worked at Geisinger Health System as the Director of Special Projects & System-Wide Special Events. In this role, they managed a communications initiative that integrated various Microsoft products to create a seamless user experience.

Most recently, Kunkle served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Membership Experience Officer at AGB. In this position, they implemented strategies to foster membership growth and engagement, oversaw membership marketing and retention activities, and managed a robust membership database.

Throughout their career, Kunkle has demonstrated expertise in membership engagement, strategic planning, project management, and communications.

Patricia Kunkle attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2003, where they completed the Management Development Program with a focus on Higher Education Administration. From 1991 to 1994, they pursued a Master's degree in Social Work at Gallaudet University. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Elizabethtown College between 1986 and 1990.
