Claudia Hooker Archbold

Claudia Hooker Archbold has served as a Legal Advisor at Ecopetrol since September 2003, specializing in low carbon solutions, litigation, arbitration, exploratory affairs, and energy matters. Responsibilities include legal defense in arbitration, corporate reorganization, and risk management, along with optimizing investments and legal frameworks for exploratory and unconventional projects. Claudia has also led legal strategies for significant infrastructure improvements, supported compliance with energy transition initiatives, and designed legal frameworks for various agreements. In addition to a robust legal career, Claudia has held academic roles as an Adjunct Professor and researcher at multiple universities and served on the board of the Association of International Energy Negotiators. Claudia earned a Master’s degree in Global Energy, International Arbitration, and Environmental Law from The University of Texas School of Law and has multiple postgraduate qualifications in law.
