Tonya Hines

Tonya Hines is an accomplished medical illustrator and art director with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as a Medical Illustrator at Glia Media since August 2013, Tonya specializes in medical and scientific illustration as part of a marketing and design studio. Additionally, Tonya has been with Mayfield Brain & Spine since February 1991, where responsibilities include managing a creative team, developing marketing strategies, creating medical illustrations, and producing multimedia presentations. As Chair of the Professional Guidelines Committee for the Association of Medical Illustrators, Tonya focuses on educating stakeholders about the role of medical illustrators and advocating for artists' rights. Tonya holds a BS in Medical Illustration from The Ohio State University and has had a longstanding involvement with the Association of Medical Illustrators since 1988, including serving as past president.
