Douglas Mandel has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and positions. Douglas currently serves as the Global Commercial Vice President at ASSOULINE, starting in April 2021. Prior to this, they were a Partner - North America at Hydra Advisory from April 2020 to April 2021, where they focused on redefining luxury behavior and creating strategic plans for customer engagement.

In the luxury retail sector, Douglas Mandel held various roles at Christian Dior Couture. Douglas was the Vice President Canada from March 2016 to January 2020, where they led strategic expansion and transformation plans and successfully opened North America's largest flagship store. Before that, they served as the General Manager, Russia and CIS from March 2012 to March 2016, doubling sales and driving profitability. Douglas also held the position of Retail Director CIS from December 2011 to March 2012 and Concessions Manager at Selfridges from September 2010 to December 2011.

Douglas Mandel has also been involved in education, completing an MBA in International Luxury Brand Management at ESSEC Business School from September 2009 to September 2010.

Prior to their luxury retail experience, Douglas Mandel was the Owner and CEO of kamkyl kreativ from January 2000 to December 2009, and the Marketing and Creative Director - DKNY at Peerless Clothing from April 1997 to December 1999.

Early in their career, Douglas Mandel worked at HUGO BOSS USA as the Vice-President of Design from 1994 to 1996, and as an Associate Designer from 1993 to 1994.

Douglas Mandel began their education journey in 2009 when they enrolled at ESSEC Business School. Douglas completed their MBA Luxe in International Luxury Brand Management in 2010. Later in 2019, they attended Harvard Business School Online and earned a certificate in Disruptive Strategy with Clayton Christensen. Currently, they are pursuing a degree in Fashion and Sustainability at the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, under the sponsorship of the Kering Group.
