Greg Tobias

Greg is responsible for internal processes, resource management, and product development workflows, ensuring Assurely is operationally sound.

Greg has previously excelled in several roles within the insurance industry, from underwriting to product management. He has made a meaningful impact at several businesses and startups by focusing on continuous process improvement. Greg has been active consulting in the insurtech space prior to Assurely, scoping and managing project workflows for the underwriting team at Hippo Insurance as well as a blockchain-based MGA underwriting tool.

Prior to joining the Assurely team, Greg founded Jet Premium Finance, an insurance financing firm operating nationally. He introduced a successful business model to the premium finance market by using technology to leverage capital partners, providing better terms for clients. Innovation in the insurance space is Greg's passion.

Greg previously worked for two regional MGAs specializing in oil and gas risks. He earned the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation to better serve complex accounts and deepen his knowledge of insurance coverages.

Greg lives in Austin with his wife, Ashley, and their two children, Tristan and Owen. He is an avid outdoorsman and an average (at best) guitar player. He received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas and MBA at Texas State University.
