Mehrdad Mastali

Mehrdad Mastali, PhD, currently serves as Principal Battery Engineer at AST SpaceMobile since June 2024. Previously, Mehrdad held positions as Battery Engineer at magniX and Battery Systems Data Analyst Engineer at Stellantis, contributing to battery pack development, performance analysis, and compliance testing. Prior experience includes roles as Battery Systems Engineer at eCAMION, where thermal modeling and design of battery modules were key responsibilities, and as Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Waterloo, leading project teams in engineering initiatives. Mehrdad's academic background includes a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MSc in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
