Nandini Venkataraman has a diverse work experience in the field of microelectronics and semiconductor processing. Nandini started their career in 2010 at Intel Corporation, where they worked as a Yield Engineer focusing on defect metrology and photolithography. In 2014, they transitioned to become a freelance technical editor specializing in Chemistry and Materials Science, working with Cactus Communications, Inc. During this time, they edited various academic documents in their areas of expertise, including Electrochemistry, Surface Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Materials Science, and semiconductor processing. In 2017, Nandini joined GLOBALFOUNDRIES as a Principal Engineer Quality for a brief period before moving to MICRON SEMICONDUCTOR LIMITED, where they worked as a Senior Process Integration Engineer from 2017 to 2020. Currently, they are employed at the Institute of Microelectronics as a Scientist, with a role as a Module Lead starting in 2023.

Nandini Venkataraman's education history begins with their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Chemical and Electrochemical Engineering, which they obtained from Central Electrochemical Research Institute in India. Nandini then pursued further education at The University of Arizona, Tucson, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Science and Engineering from 2005 to 2010. Recently, they attended Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from 2020 to 2022.
