Brad Mickey

Brad Mickey has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Brad currently holds the position of Executive Director and Manufacturing & Operations Site Head at Astellas Gene Therapies since April 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as the Director of Manufacturing, MSAT & Engineering at Astellas from October 2022 to April 2023. Brad also held the position of Associate Director and Head of Manufacturing at Astellas from August 2020 to September 2022.

Before joining Astellas, Brad worked at Biogen where they held various roles including Senior Manager of Large Scale Manufacturing from September 2019 to August 2020, Manager/Senior Manager of Process Engineering from May 2016 to September 2019, and Senior Process Engineer II from November 2011 to May 2016.

Earlier in their career, Brad worked as a Senior Project Engineer at Grifols from August 2006 to November 2011 and as a Process Engineer at CRB Consulting Engineers from 2002 to 2006.

Brad Mickey received their Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University. Brad attended the university from 1998 to 2003. Brad then pursued further education and obtained an MBA degree with a focus on the Biotech / Pharmaceutical Industry from the North Carolina State University - College of Management. Brad attended the College of Management from 2007 to 2009.
