Elly Verheggen-Peters is an experienced professional in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on Quality Systems and Strategic Operations. Currently serving as Associate Director of Strategic Operations QA at Astellas Pharma since April 2022, Elly has held various roles within Astellas Pharma since 2000, including Associate Quality Systems Document Control Director and Senior Manager Quality Systems & Documentation Control. Elly's expertise includes maintaining and improving R&D Quality Document Management Systems, leading global projects, and being involved in the implementation of document management systems. Elly began the career as a Pharmaco-epidemiologist and has advanced through positions in data management and process improvement. Elly holds a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from Wageningen University & Research and a postgraduate degree in Clinical Data Management from Kingston University.
