Jon Coleman

Jon Coleman is a seasoned data engineering and cloud architecture professional with extensive experience in managing complex data systems and applications. Currently serving as Senior Data Engineering Manager at Aster Insights, Jon oversees the cBioportal application and has successfully optimized multi-step ETL processes using Python and R. Previously, as a Cloud Architect and Lead Technical Developer at Geocent, Jon rebuilt cloud-based ETL architecture and managed development cycles. Earlier roles include significant contributions at Micfo as a Senior Software Developer, where Jon improved server provisioning efficiency, and at Benefitfocus as Manager of Data Validation, where Jon led a team to enhance data quality and streamline validation processes. Jon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science from the College of Charleston and a Bachelor’s Degree in Genetics from Clemson University.
