Wilson Kwong

Wilson Kwong started their work experience as a Helpdesk Analyst at Chevron in 2004. Wilson then worked as an Applications Engineer at Rockwell Automation from 2007 to 2008. Kwong subsequently joined PMC-Sierra, where they held the roles of System Validation Design Engineer from 2008 to 2011 and Senior System Validation Design Engineer from 2011 to 2013. At Microsemi Corporation, they worked as a Principle Firmware Applications Engineer from 2013 to 2019, specializing in firmware support for SAS/SATA Controllers and Expanders used in enterprise storage solutions. Wilson provided assistance to customers in achieving FIPS 140-2 certification and supported PCIe Gen 3 Switch customers. From 2019 to 2022, Kwong served as a Technical Product Lead Applications Engineer at Microchip Technology Inc., focusing on Switchtec PCIe Gen 3, Gen 4, and Gen 5 Switches. Wilson assisted Tier-1 hyper-scalers in architecting solutions utilizing different PCIe Switch features. Currently, they hold the position of Sr. Principal, Product Applications at Astera Labs, starting in 2022. Wilson also has experience in Strata Council, where they served as the President since 2017.

From 2001 to 2007, Wilson Kwong attended Simon Fraser University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Electronics Engineering.
