Cameron Cairns has worked in the maritime industry since 2006. Cameron began their career at Oasis Maritime Services LLC as a Production/Design assistant, where they were responsible for 3D Design, 5-axis CNC milling of moulds and parts, resin infusion of hulls and decks, overseeing installation of systems and interior fit out, and overall production manager responsible for production of yacht. From 2009 to 2014, they worked at Det Norske Veritas as a Senior Consultant for Maritime Advisory Services in the Middle East and as a Special Projects, HSLC & Yachts, where they managed various verification projects relating to coastal craft, surveyed and reported on gigayacht composite production in relation to class requirements, and surveyed, sea trialed and reported on military craft. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Partner at Trident Trackway, where they were responsible for heavy duty sustainable temporary roadways, access trackways and flooring for events, construction sites, oil and gas and mining projects. From 2016 to 2022, they worked as a Solutions Director at Astoria Solutions Pte Ltd, where they were a consultant, solutions and sales director for IoT applications for worker safety, people and asset tracking in the Construction and Oil & Gas sectors. Finally, they are currently a Partner at Terrax, where they are responsible for transforming mixed, unwashed MSW to value using a patented system, and producing durable moisture resistant plywood replacement boards, beams, pipes and moulded items.

Cameron Cairns attended Brunel University London from 2004 to 2005, where they obtained an MSc in Management. Prior to that, they attended Solent University from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a BEng(hons) Yacht and Powercraft Design in Yachting.
