Cahyo Wibowo

Cahyo Wibowo is a seasoned professional in plant breeding and research, currently serving as the Vice President of Research and Development at PT. Astra Agro Lestari, Tbk since July 2015. With a strong background in oil palm breeding, Wibowo previously held roles as an Oil Palm Breeder from July 2008 to June 2015, and as an Assistant Oil Palm Breeder from August 2002 to May 2008 at PT London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk. Wibowo's early career included a position as an Assistant Tomato Breeder at PT East West Seed Indonesia in 2001. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Plant Molecular Biology from Newcastle University (2018-2022), a Master of Science in Crop Improvement from the University of Nottingham (2013-2014), and a foundation in Plant Breeding from the University of Reading (2006-2008) and IPB University (1997-2002).
