Todd Sorel

Todd Sorel is an accomplished mechanical design engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace and automotive industries. Currently a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer and Chief Rocket Designer at Astra, Todd has played a pivotal role in developing multiple first-stage rocket versions since joining the company in 2013. Todd's expertise further extends to leading mechanical engineering efforts at Apollo Fusion and contributing to innovative medical solutions during the COVID-19 pandemic at Design Visionaries. Previous positions include key engineering roles at VENTIONS LLC, Elephant Racing LLC, Soraa, Wrightspeed Inc., E-N-G Mobile Systems, and XP Vehicles, where Todd demonstrated proficiency in various engineering disciplines ranging from propulsion systems to vehicle design. Todd holds a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design from San Francisco State University, earned between 1994 and 1997.
