Ilaria Furlan

Ilaria Furlan is a Senior Scientist on the GMP Analytical Team at AstraZeneca, where responsibilities include optimizing chromatographic methods for analytical and preparative separations of oligonucleotides and advancing synthesis methods on new instrumentation. Prior to this role, Ilaria served as a Senior Research Scientist focused on oligonucleotide chemistry and participated in the R&D Graduate Scientist Talent Programme. Earlier professional experience includes a Chemistry Internship at PentaBase, where Ilaria established operations in a new laboratory and synthesized modified nucleoside phosphoramidites. Academically, Ilaria holds an MSc in Chemistry from the University of Southern Denmark and a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Trieste, complemented by a High School Diploma in Science and Technology from “Arturo Malignani” High School.
