Xiaolan Zheng

Xiaolan Zheng is an accomplished chemist with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as an Associate Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca since May 2021, Xiaolan has progressed from a Senior Scientist role from February 2013 to May 2021, where responsibilities evolved from bench synthetic chemistry to project synthesis lead. Prior experience includes a Scientist position at AstraZeneca R&D from 2002 to February 2013, an Associate role at Unilever from December 1999 to January 2002, and a Research Assistant position at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences from December 1998 to December 1999. Xiaolan Zheng holds a Master of Science degree in Organic Chemistry from the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, obtained between 1995 and 1998.
