David Jones

David Jones has a diverse work experience in the aerospace and software engineering industries. David began their career as a Software Engineer at Charismac Engineering from October 1997 to July 2000. David then joined Digi International as a Lead Software Engineer from July 2000 to October 2001.

In March 2003, David Jones started working at Astronautics Corporation of America as a Senior Software Engineer. David excelled in developing software services, device drivers, and an Embedded Operating System for the Boeing Electronic Flight Bag. During their time at Astronautics, they held various positions including Manager of Windows & Test Automation Software Development from June 2009 to November 2014, and Technical Development Manager from November 2014 to August 2016.

Jones' significant contributions at Astronautics include creating and managing the Cybersecurity aviation group, leading a research and development project with the FAA in collaboration with MIT - Lincoln Lab, and establishing internal processes and procedures to meet and exceed industry standards. David also served as the Product Engineering Manager from August 2016 to July 2019, successfully managing a $10M development program for the Boeing 787 EFB - BP5 and overseeing the FAA - ASISP program.
