James F. Mulato

President, Astronics Test Systems at Astronics

James F. Mulato is the current President of Astronics Test Systems. Prior to this, they were the CEO of EADS North America Defense from May 2004 to April 2005. In this role, they were responsible for the P&L of the Test and Services division, as well as defining growth strategies with a focus on US DOD markets. From April 2008 to March 2014, Mulato served as President of Airbus Group EADS North America Test & Services. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing strategies to expand the company's presence in the semiconductor test and defense markets, as well as broaden the commercial applications for its Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) test and measurement instruments.

Mulato has more than 20 years of experience in test hardware and software development and execution. James is a key leader in the ATE industry, with a demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams. Their technical knowledge, business acumen, and defense industry experience have positioned him as a premier ATE provider to both commercial customers and the US Department of Defense.

James F. Mulato holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Florida State University's College of Business, with a focus in finance, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer and Information Science Engineering from The Ohio State University.
