John Bersentes has held a variety of roles in the recruitment communications and marketing industry since 1997. John began their career as the Government Accounts Director at Hispanic Business Inc, where they launched HireDiversity.com and worked with Federal Agencies to support outreach related to E.O. In 2002, they took on the role of National Accounts Director at WorkplaceDiversity.com, selling sponsorships to national online diversity recruitment services. In 2004, they became the National Sales Director for Bizjournals.com at American City Business Journals, where they were responsible for online recruitment advertising sales and channel development. In 2006, they were hired as the Director of New Business for Monster Worldwide, which was followed by a promotion to Vice President of Business Development at TMP Worldwide Advertising & Communications. At TMP Government, they worked to propel the agency from $5 to $11 million in billings. In 2015, they took on the role of Area Vice President at Hodes, where they were tasked with winning new net logo and MRR for professional services related to corporate recruitment communications initiatives. In 2016, they became the Global Account Manager at Monster Government Solutions, where they developed a Federal HR Thought Leadership Roundtable. In 2017, they were appointed Vice President of Client Strategy at MarCom Group. In 2019, they took on the role of Regional Sales Manager for Federal, Defense & Aerospace at Cornerstone OnDemand. Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed Director of Federal Sales at AstrumU, where they help institutions measure the value created for incoming and returning students.

John Bersentes obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from UC Santa Barbara between 1984 and 1989. John also holds a Certified Diversity Recruiter certification from AIRS an ADP Company.
