Amr spent the majority of his research career focusing on RNA condensate biology, specifically stress granules. Most recently, Amr worked at Pfizer within the Rare Disease Research Unit as Postdoctoral Research Fellow. During this time, he focused on understanding mechanisms driving neurodegenerative diseases such as ALS and FTLD. Amr completed my undergraduate studies in Biochemistry at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec in 2015. Amr stayed at McGill and completed his doctoral degree in 2022 focusing on condensate dynamics and their impact on cellular senescence and associated inflammation.
