Mark Kresnak

Mark Kresnak has extensive work experience in the field of intellectual property, with a focus on pharmaceuticals. Mark currently holds the position of Vice President of Intellectual Property and Corporate Transactions at Atara Biotherapeutics, Inc. Mark has previously held various roles at Atara Biotherapeutics, including Vice President of Intellectual Property and Assistant General Counsel of Intellectual Property. Prior to joining Atara Biotherapeutics, Mark worked as the Director of Intellectual Property at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. and as Senior Director of Intellectual Property at Elan Pharmaceuticals. Mark also gained experience as an Associate General Counsel at Genentech and as a Counsel at Dickstein Shapiro LLP. Mark began their career as a Patent Associate at Flehr, Hohbach, Test, Albritton & Herbert.

Mark Kresnak received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physiology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1984. Mark then went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Human Genetics from the University of Michigan in 1986. Mark further pursued their education and completed a Ph.D. in Mammalian Genetics from the University of Illinois Chicago from 1987 to 1992. Finally, they obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law, specializing in Law, from 1992 to 1995.
