Design Lead at ATB Financial

Danyil Smorschok began their work experience in 2015 as a Teller at TD, where they provided front line support at the branch and took on additional responsibilities such as coaching new tellers. Danyil was later promoted to Financial Services Advisor for exceeding sales targets and providing exceptional customer service. In 2018, they joined ATB Financial as a Policy and Procedure Advisor, where they coached colleagues on banking policies and procedures and provided World Class customer support. Danyil then transitioned to the role of Product Designer, where they worked on various design projects, including the credit limit increase flow for ATB Virtual Assistant, the flagship website for ATB Wealth, and the redesign of the mobile flow of online applications for ATB Grow. Their work at ATB resulted in significant savings and efficiency improvements for the business. In 2023, Danyil Smorschok assumed the role of Design Lead at ATB Financial.

Danyil Smorschok's education history begins with obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Alberta, which was completed from 2012 to 2016. After that, they pursued a Certificate in Investment Funds in Canada from the Canadian Securities Institute, completing it from 2017 to 2018.

In 2020, Danyil enrolled in Stanford Continuing Studies and completed a course called "Bus 57: Product Management: An Introduction to User Experience Design." This course focused on Product Management and User Experience Design.

In 2021, Danyil pursued a Google UX Design Professional Certificate from Google, specializing in UX Design. That same year, they also obtained a Google UX Design Professional Certificate.

Looking ahead, Danyil plans to further enhance their skills by obtaining an Emotional Design Certification from The Interaction Design Foundation in March 2023.
