Yukun Z.

Yukun Z. is an experienced professional in the field of artificial intelligence and data science, currently serving as the Director of AI Governance and Responsible AI at ATB Financial since September 2017. Yukun has a strong focus on developing and implementing AI governance frameworks, advocating for AI literacy encompassing ethics, privacy, explainability, transparency, and accountability. Yukun also holds the position of City Lead for Calgary at Women in AI and has presented research at NeurIPS 2019 on robust AI in financial services. Prior roles include Biostatistician and Statistical Research Analyst at the University of Calgary, where Yukun developed R packages and analyzed clinical data, as well as teaching assistant duties that garnered a TA excellence award. Yukun's early career involved contributions to research and engineering roles at organizations such as Suntech Power and Beijing Genomics Institute. Yukun holds a Master of Science in Statistics/Biostatistics from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Southeast University.
