Arwa Abu Shmais

Arwa Abu Shmais has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Arwa began their career in 2012 as an Information Systems Intern at ABB. In 2013, they worked at the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia as an Information Systems Developer. That same year, they also had a role as a Summer Intern - Social Development Coordinator.

From 2014 to 2017, Arwa worked as a Freelance Translator. In 2016, they joined ATMK S.r.l. - Property Management Business of Atheeb Group as an Administration and Legal Officer. During their time there, they worked closely with real estate consultants and legal advisers and provided support for administrative, legal, financial, and HR matters.

In 2015, Arwa had a role as the Acting Executive Assistant for the Board of Directors at Etihad Atheeb Telecom Co. "GO". Arwa also served as the Audit Committee Secretary at Nesma Holding from 2015 to 2019.

From 2017 to 2019, Arwa worked at Atheeb UK as an Administration and HR Officer, where they played a central role in restructuring the company and enhancing the HR policies and procedures manual. Arwa then joined Atheeb Group in 2019 as the Chief Operating Officer at Alrimth Holding.

From 2013 to 2017, Arwa had multiple roles at Atheeb Group, including Social Development Projects and Systems Officer, Social Development Projects Manager, Systems Analyst, Business Developer, and Admin & HR Officer. In these roles, they were responsible for business development, legal agreements and contracts, policy and procedure development, and corporate governance.

Most recently, in 2021, Arwa joined Athbah Stud Co. Ltd. as a Project Management Officer.

Throughout their career, Arwa has demonstrated their ability to handle diverse responsibilities and improve efficiency and productivity through the design, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of systems and work processes. Arwa has reported to CEOs and played instrumental roles in restructuring and enhancing operations.

Arwa Abu Shmais has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Information Systems from Prince Sultan University, which they obtained from 2008 to 2012. In 2013, they completed a course called "Introduction to Software Development on SAP HANA" at openSAP, which provided their with a general understanding of SAP HANA development. In 2016, they attended the 8th Annual Board Secretary Conference organized by Marcus Evans in Dubai. It is not specified whether they obtained a degree or studied a specific field during this conference. Prior to their university education, they earned a High School Diploma in General Science from "The Twenty Second" High School, which they attended from 2005 to 2007. Additionally, Arwa Abu Shmais has obtained the Toastmasters International Competent Communicator certification from Toastmasters International in 2011.
